What do you believe is the purpose of a college education?
The purpose of a college education is to strive for higher goals later on in life. To get a better job that pays more and be able to support yourself later on in life without your parents help. Be able to start a family not worrying about if you will have enough money to buy food or the clothes on your back. Being educated is very important in this day and age and without it is very hard to find a job and have people respect you.
What does it mean to be educated?
To take a hold of all the things around you and to learn from your mistakes and become a stronger, smarter, and better person all around. To take a hold of every opportunity and be a leader not a follower for your path in life.Work hard at everything you do and don't quit something just because its too tough.
What experiences have you had with education that led you to this belief?
Ever since I was little education was very important to my family. My mother and father never went to college so they wanted to make sure I had a better life by setting very high goals. I would also see my brother just getting by school and I wanted to make sure I strive for the best that I could be. Now I am an young adult with very good grades all because of my family's high standards. I want to make a good life for myself and the way to do that is to take a hold of every opportunity and get the best education and grades that I can possibly get.
